Do you live in an apartment? Well, it is common to deal with communal laundry. Whether you just have to go to the basement or down the hall, you are sharing the space with others. Everybody is there but no one is happy. Or, perhaps not all apartments allow you to have washing machines because they have a problem with the pipes, like outdated pipes. But, what if the apartments allow? So, what can you do?
Usually, your contractor may guide you. So, it is better to talk to the professional whether it is possible or not to add a laundry room in your tiny apartment. It is because we are talking more than just the available space, but piping as well.
If it is possible, we recommend you to have a combo unit. The washer-dryer combo is not a perfect solution. Keep in mind that the capacity of the machine dryer is similar to a compact dryer. But, when you want to get effective drying to dry your laundry, it is better to cut a full load in half. It is because the reality is that the capacity to wash the clothes is twice the capacity to dry these clothes.
Also, you can use single-lined cabinet design to support the limited space. After that, you can hide the machine beneath the countertop. Other than that, it is great to try for a vertical design. If you have limited space in your tiny apartment, it is great to stack your washing machine. So, it is there among your kitchen cabinets.
Even better, if your apartment makes you able to a little renovation, you can try to think out of the box. It is like you will have a mini laundry room design you hide behind doors. Once you open it, there is a narrow laundry room with the washer and dryer on top of each other. So, you can still store the bathroom equipment on one wall.
